When we started working with Susan Anderson in 2018 to promote her local Farmer's Market, it was quickly apparent that she had only begun to scratch the surface of her entrepreneurial spirit. With bars closed due to Covid restrictions, to move forward we had to rebalance the scales to reopen as a restaurant ...with a bar. In addition to that and launching with new management as a woman-owned business, we wanted to make sure the existing community welcomed the changes, and that we attracted enough new customers to get through the worst of Covid.
Given the tall order, 'hold my beer' was our actual response. What can I say, we love a challenge. We got right to work building a new website and transferring online listings. We created a strategy to consistently engage the community and plan for a new experience on social media. Menus, signage. The works.
After a highly successful launch, we stayed on to provide consistent support and manage social media and event campaigns.
Not only did Hometown survive the worst of Covid, but they thrived, surpassing projected figures. A year later, after another evolution of rebalancing the scales back to a bar – that also serves the best damn burgers in 7 counties – Hometown continues to grow as a multi-six figure business and was recently recognized by Restuarant Guru in 2021 for Best Pub & Bar and the Highlander's 2022 Reader's Choice Awards for Best Bar, Wings, and Pool Hall!
